1. 29 Chapter 6 Using Additional Features Using the Player as a File Browser You can use the player to transfer files to and from a digital camera Connecting the Player to a Digital Camera 1 Make sure to power on the digital camera before connection Otherwise the player will not detect the camera 2 Connect one end of the supplied short USB cable to the USB port of the player and connect one end of the USB cable supplied with your digital camera to the other end of the short USB cable 3 Connect the other end of the camera s USB cable to the USB port of the camera Some models of digital cameras may be supported See the Camera Compatibility section in Appendix B for more information Depending on the camera model the connection method may vary See the camera documentation for detailed information You are recommended to use the AC adapter with the player when connecting to a digital camera Otherwise the player may power off automatically when in a low battery power status or connecting to a power consuming device Copying Files to the Player After connecting the player and digital camera you can copy files from the camera to the player Follow this procedure 1 After the two devices are connected an action menu will appear on the screen automatically 2 Select Copy all and press the OK button The copying process will start You cannot select or copy individual files in this procedure
